Bought 24” Argo tires for my 1994 Argo magnum. They were bought mounted on new style offset 8” frontier rims. New style rims fit fine. Tires will not fit if they are inflated to max psi (7). Aired down to 3psi they fit Drove it down a couple trails and had no issues. There is 1/4” between the tires maybe a bit less on some. The front 2 tires are mounted on standard rims the rest on new style offset. I’m using track wheel spacers on the fronts so they stick out about 1.5” more then the 6 rear tires. I find it gives the machine a wider chewing swath. Might put some spacers on the last offset Tires to have them out wider This would give me 2 fronts wide 4 middle tires close 2 last tires extra wide giving the machine lots for the tires to chew new mud. Way it’s set up now with the fronts a little wider then the rest is awesome. No issues turning at all. Even looks prit good. Anyway I always wondered if 24” Argo tires would fit. Some say no. Dealers def say no. Aired right up I say no. 3psi. YES. 24” tires on the machine are awesome. Had 22” Argo tires and it was good. 24” s are great. Axles on my machine are on 24” centres. The tires are expensive and I really didn’t want to buy tires that would not fit especially with multiple dealers saying they would not fit. I can say that they are a huge upgrade on older machines. The Argo magnums are awesome machines and these tires make them even better.
sounds great c. boy ...i like the idea of tires spaced a different width . their not all going in the same rut . even if it limits a little distance between trees you can go , there are always other routes . johnboy va . would like to see a picture , bet it looks cool.
7 PSI is way too hard anyways, 3PSI is more effective, essentially you want as low as you can go without the tire coming off the rim. I run 1.5psi in my Vanguard Coot tires, and 0.5 PSI in the back tires on my quadractor.
Staggered tires work great, in fact it clearly must have some level of effect as in competitive mud bogging most classes do not allow staggered offsets as this would give them an unfair advantage.
