    Drum Gear in T-20

I figured out the reason my t-20 won't shift, the gear inside the drum is FUBAR. Looking at the drum, it appears that the gear can be pressed out and replaced. Are these gears available or does anyone here have a spare ? It is the gear in the drum, not the sliding gear.

i had one in such bad shape last month that it would no longer work in reverse gear. I talked to Recreative, and Richard Clark and both told me that the gear could not be replaced. I ended up having to get a new drum. see this thread http://www.6x6world.com/forums/trans...se-1-side.html

Oh I didn't want to hear that lol. Yep, mine looks like yours did, except it had teeth before I started messin with it. Mine wouldn't go into gear because all the teeth were bent inward. I can't figure out how the heck that happened. Anyway, I was trying to get the sliding gear back through and all the teeth came out. Guess it time for a wanted ad.

you need to count the # of teeth on the shift selector or the sun gear plate. i believe there were 18 tooth and 36 tooth versions

Actually it's 9 and 18 tooth versions. I believe R.I. is only producing the 9 tooth versions now so if you buy new you will have to get both drums plus the shifter gear shown in the center of the picture. (read lots of money). Me thinks you should hunt for a good used part.
