looking to swap out a blown GU transmission in my 99` conquest 8x8 to a CGK transmission from a 89` KB 8x8....will the CGK drop in with no mods. and what is the difference between the two? does anybody know? I cannot seem to find any info on this. any input would be appreciated.

cant remember off the top of my head but i do not think they are the same, cant remember the difference without comparing info right now but if i were you i would just figure out what went wrong with original trans'99 Conquest 104hp turbocharged intercooled EFI Chevy Sprint conversion

after much digging around until 1am and you are right, rebuild the original. the cases are different. mounting is not the same. tore the trans down this morning and the gears are stripped...looks like I have to contact Richards and get some gears. we use the machine to get to tower sites and I was hoping it was just a easy swap and be back to work. oh well, at least I will have a new trans after the rebuild.
