  • Is the t-25 available?

I saw an article about the new t-25 trans but can't find anywhere that sells them. Anyone know anything about them, such as price and where I can order one.

Do you have a link to what info you’ve read? What were the advantages over the T-20?

There's a conspiracy afoot! I cannot find anything about the T-25 now on either MuddOx or MXI web pages. It's like it's been erased lol!

T-25 was an improved T-20, it's comes with all the mods you would do to improve a T-20. Better linkages for the brake bands, ported for oil cooling or dry sump lubrication, I forget what else. there was a fair bit of information on one those sites at one point. I'll keep looking lol

I finally got a reply from them but they said it wasn't ready to release. No price.

Wonder what the hold up is? Seems like all the manufactures hit a quiet spell.

I have a feeling that the new Recreatives or MXI or whatever else it's name may have evolved into is dead. I hope that I'm wrong, but as every additional day passes it seems less likely that there will be follow-up.

My feeling is it may come out of China on it's next phase of production.
Costs would go down, such that MXI can sell a few more and get some investment back. Besides, China has that Wild Panther Argo copy as evidence that they can do this one easy enough.
Of course, I'm merely guessing here.
Might be a good time for Mudd Ox to produce their 6x6 w/T20 to fill in the slack.

Yes everything ontheir site looks quite promising, but as far as both muddox and the mxi site go they have went over a year without updates is a little concerning. No promotional efforts or deals, they almost seem forgotten

We have been using upgraded internal T20 parts on the Mudd-Ox Vengeance. About the lack of updates - we've been working overtime to fulfill customer orders and haven't spent much time on website updates.

As I have pointed out previously, I had tried to contact "MXI", or whoever, twice and only received canned responses. I too am beginning to think that the MAX and successors are dead. A visit to MXIATV.COM today yields no new news and the site itself is a bit tired....much of the "news" is over 6 months old. This is too bad as there are many who are still looking for a good affordable AATV. Personally, I think an introductory model 6x6 would price between $10-12K USD. An introductory model at $16K USD is a bit steep, even for my wallet.

The idea of a $10k-$12k machine is an idea I have toyed with for years. I have a prototype that ideally would have came in for less than that if everything worked out according to plan. That price actually went to over $15k. Had I taken it to production the economies of scale would have dropped it down to about $12k. An analysis of the market however convinced me that the margin for profit, even then, was too slight to risk production.

Argo has some great base machines for less than $12k, Mudd Ox for $16k. With options everything runs higher. I still think that the possibility is there to build a machine for less, but to get to that point quality would suffer. I'm still playing with some concepts that have hope. This is a difficult market to crack though.

I figure the amphibious market is rather small as compared to quads and SxS machines to begin with. Argo and Mudd Ox are basically the big boys left.
Can a lower cost machine, yet of quality, be squeezed in? I hope so. (I'd like to see the Mudd Ox 6x6 give it a go as a Max replacement.)

Would love to know more about the updated t20 parts as to which parts they are and if they are available to purchase. Also are the 16" vendetta tires available? Thanks
