Kawasaki TA440 and John Deere TA440. Are this two the same engine?

I have opend my engine. It`s a Kawasaki TA440 2-Stroke from 1980. I have a look in the Net about spareparts. I see that very often parts from the John Deere TA440 will be listet, when is look for the Kawasaki Engine. Are this two engines the same?

The TA440 (A, B, and C series) were all great 2 stroke engines that put out very good power.....they'll make a 6x6 really move.

and also they looks very strong. I have him in Peaces on my table and anything is really profesional. Last time i have open a Vaguard Briggs&Stratton to repair. It`s a good engine, but many things are in cheap Quality.

Yes, you are absolutely correct.....some parts of the Briggs Vanguard engines are very cheap quality. I've worked on quite a few of these engines, and they are good engines internally, but many of the parts on the outside like the plastic bendix gear on the starter are just very bad quality.
