Just purchased a 55 amp alternator to replace the 14 amp generator on the vw motor and bought a master cylinder for the brake pedal. next is to weld in my caliper mounts had to move them from the back of the disc to the front for exhaust clearence. Then its a battery gas lines and brake lines. I have to cut and cable clamp both the clutch cable and throttle cables as the stock length is about 4 inches to long.

This weekend I finished two front chain tentioners, put in a center gutter for clutch and gas cables with little pullys, installed the alternator in the fan housing, cut shorter and installed a universal joint in the steering colume, started the first steps in wiring by running a 3/4 conduit thru the gutter from dash to motor. this gutter will carry the gas line, brake lines and an air hose for rear pump clutch.

Working on the dash now with stock vw speedometer a cb and a mosquito fish finder. Going kinda slow with the weather, job hours, finishing a 10x10 section of deck on the front of house. Had a death in the family right in my own house, so was busy with funeral arrangements. Was to busy to finish PLC1 class and am already signed up for PLC2. I will go on to PLC 5000 in about 3 months. Hope to start the engine in about 30 days.

Finished the brake lines and blead them today the stock brake pedal goes down 1/2 way and stops to lock both rotors. The steering wheel goes about 85 degrees in each direction and locks an individule rotor. I still need to ajust all the linkage on the master cyl and turning brakes I want to cut these numbers in 1/2. Its very encourageing to see the action work so well.
