Bearing flanges

I have a 2005 max iv. I’m going to replace all bearing inner and outer. Are the inner bearings 62mm and the outer 72mm? Also are these flanges for the inner bearings? Thanks

Yes, and yes.
I was just looking at these today as I am replacing inner bearings also.

But why do they say outer flanges? Just wondering.

I think it's just a miss print. They are the 62 mm inners, one with grease zerk and one without. You can tell they are inners with the flats on the top and bottom.

Also the inner flange without the grease zerk says the machine uses 18 of them in the description. Doesn’t it only need 6 of the non grease zerk flanges for the inner bearings?

Yes. So to do all bearing and flanges for a max iv I need 6 72mm bearings. 6 62mm bearing. 6 62mm flanges ( the ones with the cuts in them ) and 6 72 mm flanges. Correct? I’m going to take out the axle tomorrow and measure everything, but am just making sure

12 flanges for 62 mm, one with grease zerk one without per bearing. Same with the 72 mm bearings

Yes that’s what I meant. Could I also put a non grease zerk 72mm flange on the inside of the frame where to bolts go through to hold the flange in the outside? I did that in my max ii because in the description it said it would make it stronger. Can I do that with the max iv? If you look in the pic below this is what it says for the max ii. Which I did for mine. Can I also do that on the iv?

Good heavy washers are better and much cheaper.

Okay. One more thing I blew out the seal on my max ii outer bearing, and I didn’t even replace the bearing and flange a year ago. So can I still reuse the flange since it’s not even a year old?

Yes, as long as the bearing hasn't spun in the flange, they are reusable.
