I searched through the forum and manual without luck. What is the proper measurement for the belt. In another post someone 1 1/2 inch, but I would like an exact measurement for the tension.

There is no exact measurement. With rubber mounts the more the mount flexes the tighter the belt needs to be to make up for it. As the mount "gives" it reduces the center to center measurement of the clutches and allows the belt to advance in rapid jumpy stages. CVTs are the same in all machines, just with a few other variables factored in. ATV and Snowmobile Belts - by Dayco
With most machines it it easiest to slide the motor away from the trans until it's too tight then loosen it up a little till you get the best performance. With a maxIV that's hard to do. I wish the motor mount had a better adjusting system....it's just a pain to adjust, sorry for the bad news.
