Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
I attended a last minute Haspin ride recently. Local 6x6 members Cougar and DerekHonda came. Cougar had a neat video camera dash mounted on his conquest.. he must have hours of video.. we're working on how to convert and edit it.
this is all I have so far, a slow single file drive through Indiana woods in the Fall.

How is it mounted? You can see that the push-bar moves relative to the camera yet the camera appears to be mounted to the machine. Despite that, the video seems to "float"....not all jerky.
The cam has image stabilization(electronic). This is an out of production sony NSC GC1. A pocket sized "net share cam", mpeg4, memory card, and a 4x zoom! He got it used for a $100! Salvaged the head off of a yard sale camera tripod for the dash mount. Can you believe it

I actually researched them last night. I did not realize mpeg4 was a small format. The reviews said that when you made the screen size bigger, the video quality dropped off quite a bit. They made these cameras essentially just for putting videos up on Youtube.
I guess what would be best would be the "steady-cam" technology in one of SONY's higher end cameras which of course would mean more $$.
Looks like a nice place to ride and many machines showed up. Picture was fine yes it would be great to see it in HD, with surround sound, but this is a ride the footage is fine. We like videos!
Great video, can't wait to see more.
