    [ QUOTE=8x8cajun ] Hello everyone Iam a new member to this world, I just purchased an Argo 8 wheel Conquest. I needed something to get me to a duck blind that 4 wheelers and boats could not. I have owned 3 and 4 wheel ATV's for many years. The Argo seems to be what I needed. It is a 2002 model in real nice condition, 100 hrs but it does need tires. It has the runamucks on it and they do not pull well in the mud. I have been offered a new set of Rawhide tires with the rims for $4oo.oo I know this is cheap but they are 25 inch tires and the tires on the Conquest now are 22 in. How much clearance is needed between tires???? I think the 25's will almost touch one another.
    I realy need the traction in the mud, I thought about tracks but I think I would prefer to stay with tires....I will put an outboard motor on it for the water.
    Anyone out there know what to do??? [/QUOTE]

    Hello 8x8cajun Welcome to the amphibious forum . Rockdoctor also has an Argo Conquest , and I,m sure he will soon comment on your post . With the installation of the Frontier tires on his own Argo Conquest , its now just about unstoppable in the mud he says ! Three of his friends also have Argo Conquest , and after seeing how superior his Frontier tires were to their Good year Rawhide tires , they made the switch to the Frontier tires . In fact , one friend of his wanted to borrow his Frontier tires to try on his own Conquest , and liked them so well he ended up buying Rockdoctor some more Frontier tires , because after trying them he did not want to give them up . The Frontier tires are really fast in the water too . But,, at around $120 a pop , they are not cheap by any means .

        Preston, welcome to the site and congratulations on the purchase of your first 6x6. For parts, you can post in the wanted section here and someone may have what you need. If they are non-Attex specific like chain, tires, transmission parts, etc. you can ask here and someone can help you find the best deal.

          Hi, Preston;

          Welcome to the forums. Richard Clark sells a lot of parts through his site at route6x6.com, and you can always try the "wanted" section of this site as well. There are quite a few of us that still run the old machines and that number keeps growing. What in particular are you looking for?

            Howdy from Iowa

            Howdy I'm new the the AATV world. I swapped a street bike for my 93 Max IV
            20 HP Kohler w/25 hrs on the meter. I have been wheeling for several years in an 86 Jeep CJ7 so this is all kinds of new and exciting. As I have been scanning the site I've noticed a lot of great ideas for a cage and bumpers. I enjoy fabricating so keep an eye open for future mods. I'll see if I can load a pic or 2.

                        Hello new members

                        Man this site is growing. Hello to all and welcome aboard. I am sure you will find this site to your liking. Great group of people with a common interest. One thing that is for sure we like pictures and videos. So if you have any of your machines post them up.

                        Mr.Snake, as Race has mentioned the Carolina boys(name un-official as of this time), are planing a Busco Beach ride in October. Would love to have you come and join us.

                        What are you looking for as a machine? Any preference? There is a very good dealer close by me and he is a member. Race and McCoy will agree with this i am sure.

                        Welcome again

                          Hello

                          I have been in and out of the 6x6 scene in the last year, but I am finally back for good. Had to get that pesky racing four wheeler bug out of my system. In the last year I have come to admire the comraderie of this community. I have had the pleasue of talking to Jeff (JPSWIFT) and George (spidytank) and they have both been nothing but helpful and friendly through their suggestions and advice in getting me into this sport. Jeff especially had always taken the time to talk to me. (it's been a while but I truly appreciated his effort) I look forward to meeting the rest of you at rides and hopefully at Ledges next year. Thank you all.

                              Hey Pat, welcome to the site and the hobby. Let me get this straight. You have spoken with George and Jeff and you still want to be a part of this hobby?

                              I'm kidding of course, they are both great guys and like most in this hobby, they are very helpful. Glad to have you on board and I look forward to seeing you around.
