Interestingly I will be moving to Up State New York this summer! i have read many articles on this site but but only used it for tech help thinking I would never get the chance to meet anyone, but now that I am moving back that way, I am excited to go to some of the events and make some new friends. I am working on improving my Beast in many different ways from performance to aesthetics and any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to getting to know any and all of you crazy amphibious ATV lovers!
    Hi John,

There are lots and lots of 6X6World members in the Northeast, especially in the Upstate NY, PA, OH area. We do lots of riding and meet up quite a bit, so when you get here you'll have to join us.

I had a chance to pick up a 1968 scambler and passed and now I wish I wouldnt have done that. SO now I am looking for a "toy" I am in North Carolina decided to make it home after a 28 year career. Look forwad to maybe talking to a few of ya and getting your thoughts and possibly and tip or two!!!
You didn't miss out on a Scrambler if you were looking for a machine that is rugged, stout, reliable, and something to ride on the trails rather than work on all the time. The Scrambler wasn't really a very well built machine. You're much better off with a machine that has an actual frame and something with a T-20 transmission like a Max, Hustler, or Attex. There are some good deals in the Carolinas on Max AATVs, so keep your eyes open and keep looking in the ebay/Craigslist section of 6X6World because us members usually post the deals there.

    Welcome to the site everyone!

After watching videos on youtube of Argos and tracks, I couldnt take it anymore!! These machines look incredible and I cant wait to get started...All my buddies have Rangers with tracks and are very curious as to what this Argo 6x6 with tracks will do....I am really hoping to convert my friends..we will see!!!! Looking forward to sharing my experiance with you folks.

          • Hello 6X6 World! My name is Wes. I am new to the site, but I know I will find everything i'm looking for here. I just purchased two 6x6 AATV's. 1st one is a used Max ll. I can not read the serial number due to wear, I can only read code:4506. It is pretty old but in great condition. Needs engine. Cost $300.00. Drove from Kansas City to Louisiana to pick it up. Needs some work, the body could use a new paint job, new 21x11x8 tires. I wish there was a way to get the serial number. I would like to know what year it is. The individual only knew it was a Max ll and "He was tired of lookin' at it". My 2nd purchase is a Super Swamp Fox. It's probably 25 years old, ( still not delivered yet) Great condition! Cost me a trade: My old Yamaha Motorcycle for the Fox! Great Trade! trying to find tires (21x11x8) for both. I am going to break them both down and build up. I am going to take my time and do it right the first time. What ever needs to be re-placed, will be re-placed with "New". From the frame to the "kickin" Stereo! I am so excited I just can't wait! I would love any advise from our members who have dealt with these machines. It's great to have finally found "My New Home" for my Toys!

            • Welcome Wdmaier,

Both machines you have acquired are great off roaders. I would suggest larger tires than 21's though. I know people with 25's on a max II with a little body remolding, and your ssf can take 26's no problem.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

              • Hi all!
My name is Ivan, I'm from Russia, from the city of Irkutsk.
I also bought a Max 4 - 1998, it was quite a long story , but I managed to bring this technique, and now I'm glad.
I'm sorry, but I'm very bad knowledge of the language, I use "translate.google".
I had a few questions, but I hope with 6x6world.com I get answers to their questions.
This is a very useful and interesting site.

                        • Instead of clogging up this forum I linked over and responded about the HFMT. If you get a chance read it and get back with me. I know Jeff personally who is over the trails and I will let him know how much he is missing out over the trails who allow them.

                          • Hi Al, welcome to the site. I think once you browse the forums for a bit you will start to see the more popular choices and can use that information along with your budget to make a decision.

                            • My name is Joe from Ohio. I am hoping to get my argo in a few weeks. I found one, I like just don't want to jump on the first one I see. It will be an 8x8 for sure. Nice to see a place to get info. I have had the argo itch for a few years now, just decided to pull the trigger this year. This looks to be a nice site. Thanks for having me.
