Hi there,
My name is Tyler from west central Minnesota. I have been looking at this forum for quite some time now. I have a Terra Tiger and a Scrambler both from around 1970. My dad had purchased them back when I was younger and now that I am just about done with college, it is time to dig them out and get them out and about. I look forward to these projects as these machines are one of the funnest things.

Hello everyone,
My name is Robert and I'm from Southern Virginia, I just got a 1997 Argo Vangaurd this past Thursday. I have been looking on this site for a while and there is a lot of helpful information on here, I look forward to using the 6x6. Around my area quads are dominant but i can't wait to ride with them and hopefully show them a true off road vehicle. If anyone has any helpful info on the Vangaurd i would love any feedback.

hi my name is keith and i have a scrambler. The sticker says its a model 1200 but it might be a 1100 or 1400. I don't know for sure because the parts book is kind of confusing for me.This site is terrific for me . I needed alot of information to get my machine rolling. I have four new carlisle 101 tire and two off-brand used wheeler tires on it now so we can roll it around. The engine cranks but now I have to rebuild the fuel pump. Got the rebuild kit off of ebay.
I am from NW Minnesota and being able to talk with other fans , or just read their articles and advice is going to help motivate me to get this thing going soon. I hope. thanks again for all the great scambler articles. I have learned alot.

Hi Tony. That's a great story! It sounds like you have a nice collection of parts and you're going to love that Superchief! You should join us for the 6x6 ride and races in Ashtabula, OH in June. New to site and new to 6x6 world . Traded my quad for this amphibious gem. Seems like everything works well only issue is that when I try and turn left it seems it wants to hesitate and doesn't pull , I do know the throttle is stretched I plan on replacing this weekend I'm hoping the issue is e throttle and not the tranny because I can't find anything on these bakerhill transmission . I have either 5000 or 7000 it does have reverse how do I tell the did between the 5000 and the 7000 and if it isn't throttle issue and ends up being tranny where can I find one of these and how hard is it to swap for t20 tranny?

It would be very difficult to swap a T-20 into a first generation Attex that originally came with a Baker Hill transmission. There should be a label riveted onto your transmission telling you the model. Take a look at the end of the shaft on either side. The 7000 series had a larger diameter shaft, and the 5000 series had a smaller diameter. Take a look at the article on the Baker Hill that Larry W posted. He's our first generation Attex expert.
