Hi everybody,
my name is Tim from Hamburg/germany, so sorry for my english
In a few days i will get my trailer 200 miles down to a town called Kassel. There is a Jiger 152 waiting for me. I watched the jiger again and again, starting in 2007. Now a few days ago i found a little community here in germany
and one guy had a jiger to sell. so i bought it. it seems, the jiger is original green, what i don´t understand. is it a rebuilt?
If anybody has contact to wayne from the www.jiger.ca website, i would love to get his email. i tried to contact him over an old email adress because his jiger website is locked, you need username and password.
I need to get all details about the jigger, would love to read the history of this little bug, but i can´t get on the website. So if anybody has an idea, it would be great to here from you.
Thanks for your time and thanks to you ,mike, for this website!
cheers from germany
Tim

The Jiger site was just up and working a couple weeks ago. I wonder what's going on. You might want to speak with 6x6world member Marc, he's also from Germany and he has quite the AATV collection. I know there are also some Jiger enthusiasts on the site that might be able to give you some more info on them, or possibly give you a lead on contacting Wayne from the Jiger site.

Hi Just getting into this. I bought a old Wangler Lockney 295. It starts and runs good, however someone rewired it and I am tring to make it right. I need help finding a rectifier for it. The one I have has no ID nimbers or brand name. It just has the amps that are 5 and some german writeing that means to keep it away from heat. I have sherched the web for days looking. I have a manual for the engine that is a Rockwell JLO 295. Also all the wireing diagrams I have found shows four wires coming from the engine, however there is only three and one is disconnected. I will be pulling the flywheel off this weekend to look at the coil pack and find out were all the wires go to. There is no color on the wire they have been but slipiced. So if someone can point me in the right way it would help. Thanks

I believe you can get the wiring info under the Attex wiring diagram somewhere on this site. I know it's on here.
The Attex Wild Wolf and I believe the ST300 came with the same engine.
I'm sure that you'll be able to find somebody on this site who has a spare rectifier. I may even have one myself.Banned

Hello everyone! I, within the past week, have aquired an old MAX IV on Craigslist for $200. I thought it was just too good to be true at that price so I had to have it. The atv is almost complete minus an engine, seats, wiring, and a few odds and ends. This week, I have been looking and reading trying to find out as much information as I can on this thing. I've found out that the transmission needs torn apart and needs new rebuild kit with gaskets and seals. The pistons on the tranny are frozen in place. I'm hoping it's not a pile of junk, but am faithful it will be running in a few months if nothing major attacks the wallet.
I've noticed that many people with these max's have modern 4 strokes, but I think in my case a 2-stroke is the way to go. I am on a very tight budget so I can't toss a thousand in clutches and a nice 4-stroke. I can buy a 440 snowmobile for about $200 and use all the parts off it to get the machine up and running. Is there any type of hurdle I can expect to come across when doing this? Are their driven clutches from snowmobiles that will adapt directly to my 7/8" tranny shaft? This seems to be my main concern at the moment.
I need to figure out how to post pictures on here.

aaron and bucky, welcome to the site.
aaron, it sounds like you got a great deal on your Max IV. For that kind of money, even if you have to sink $1000-2000 into it, you will still come out to the good. Try starting a new thread in the Max forum on your machine where everyone can chime in and you will get a better response to your questions. When you do, let us know if the transmission has a clutch on it already? Also, do you know what engine used to be in it (2 stroke or 4 stroke). This thread explains how to post pictures: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/6x6-w...-pictures.html
bucky, from the sound of it, you should have an argo that will give you lots of trouble free riding. Post some pictures of it when you pick it up.

Hi everyone!
My name is Gernod,I am German but live since 2006 in Saskatchewan/Canada.I just recently bought an Argo KB,8X8,I/C,built in 82-3(?).It is in top-condition (I just had some tune up and slight fixing work to do to it) and I am very happy with it.
I hope to find a good place to talk serious AATV-stuff and get some good connections going here.
I further hope that I am welcome here, since my Argo has two wheels too many

Welcome G. Don't worry about the extra couple of wheels you got. As long as it floats or is extremely rare or cool, your good with us. Besides, there is a section on the forum just to talk about Argos. Most everyones friendly and happy to help trouble shoot problems or new ideas.l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

Hello
I'm Josh. I just put a down payment on a 97 Max IV. I should have it in a few weeks. I used to have an 1974 Argo 2 stroke that I miss, but I don't think I'll mind using less gas, and having a quieter engine. I will miss the insane speeds though. Seems there are good points and bad points to both brands. I'm super excited about having another AATV though regardless. I don't really know anything about MAX vehicles. I hope the T-20 is as tough as the Argo tranny. I have lots to learn on this machine.
