Not sure on bodys, years, etc, however, i do know what the superchief was supposed to come with the dual disc brake trans. Had discs on each side? Atleast thats what i remember reading somewhere anyhow. lol My chief has this style trans in it, and everyone said i lucked out. however, i dont use the disc brakes very often, if at all. lol
I have officially caught the 6-wheel-sickness!!

      This is an easy one.

All Superchiefs are poly bodied, four chain machines with 1" axles and G50B Chaparrals for engines. Every one. Now, MOST Superchiefs came with the T-20, but the maligned GT-2 transmission was used for a couple years. They're pretty uncommon, though. I think only one or two machines with the GT-2 have ever been discussed here on the board. I'll let someone else chime in with the years of manufacture, but I think 1975 was the first year.

Neither one of my t20 superchiefs have the disc brake on the tranny. Both have the front axle "mechanical" disc brake, or "oh crap the tranny popped into neutral and I have no brakes" - brake!!!
sigpic Attex, there is no substitute

These G50B,s I assume were 500 cc were they twin carbed or single, the one inch axles were they all designed for the old donut tires or 5 stud 8 inch rims.

                Superchief!

Attex started production of the Superchief in 1976 and they were the first (along with the Tomahawk and Spirit) non-ABS machines that Attex built. They had the disc brakes on the front axle throughout their run, to my knowledge. The first year the bodies were "almost" yellow when new, but the sun turned them orange and some even an odd salmon color. By '77 they had the color straightened out- they were yellow and stayed that way. They also offered dark green and a yellow top, green bottom option.

The Superchief was sold with a single Mikuni VM carb (32mm, I think). They came stock with flotation tires but you could order them with 22" Carlisle Chevrons.

                Hope this helps.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

                (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

There was an attex ID chart once. I had a copy in my other computer. It took a crap but guess I need to put the hard drive in this one and get all my photos out. I know Don had a copy. I thought it was posted on the site but I cant find it. It gave out a lot of information with the models and the years and the changes made from model to model and year to year. I guess I better go find my junk computer and get the hard drive out.

I don't remember the ones you attached but that doesn't mean they weren't there at some point?
