This is a stumper. From all the posts on this thread it seems the thing should fire up and run. Where are you located?Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

I've put fuel in the plug hole and tryed either in carb and cylinder. I've worked on things like this for 35 years. Was an auto technician for 20 years. I know my way around a toolbox. Only thing unsure to me is points. I'm using a buzzer inline to check timing. Timed it 1 complete round plus .25 on dial indicator BTDC. I did replace the key switch early on. Is it possible I did something wrong there. I have spark during crank but could I be missing something there? Only other question in my mind is losing spark under compression. Spark plug always seems dry when I take it out though. Crankcase seems mostly dry

With all the either sprayed in there, I might pull the head and look at the cylinder. Then if ok I might try a little oil in the cylinder, bolt the head back on and try the gas thing again.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

Or other wiring issue. The recoil with key switch un connected would make system stand alone, though you may have to yank plug wire to shut down if it starts.sigpic
