Tried to charge battery (flat at 11.43V) but several days on the solar charger didn't work so re-sited it in a less shady position.

All battery cells low on fluid so topped up -each cell took 15 shots from a tiny pipette to get up to the UPPER level line (measured by dopping a vernier in from the top casing).

Taped over the cells to stop more dirt getting in groove around each screw cap (1/2" deep socket to loosen battery clamp).

Replaced missing bolt on gear lever collar with a stainless one (bolt barely long enough to get the nut on though. There's still a tiny bit of play but used STUD N BEARING FIT by Loctite to hopefully take up the last bit of slack. Also tried a split pin but didn't have anything the right size. A Roofing bolt also fits!

Made a better stand to stop cover sagging under rain, but the cover has started to split now (UV degradation).
