t-20 forward revse, no lockout possible?

    HI gang,
so, seems I read somewhere, that the t-20 can be modified to go forward and reverse with just stick direction, and without shifting the trans forward/reverse.
Am I dreaming, or was that true?

    I have a 1980? Max2 with the Rotax......

Anything is possible...just not a good idea. For normal stick operation, pulling back applies the brakes. To shift to reverse you would need to go beyond that point and pull a little farther to shift. It is too likely that unintentional shifting would happen and trash the teeth on drums and shift collars. Splitting your shifter allows for much easier shifting...one side at a time, and is a much better idea. If you are looking for even easier than that, try making foot levers for shifting so your hands never leave the sticks.
