hey friends ...my neighbor's friend picked up an older 8 wheel argo . steering sticks , 18 hp kholer motor . runs good but won't turn left . turns right great . checked the left side steering fluid resevoir and it was empty . going to get some dot 50 in the morn and fill it up . could that be the reason ? anything else to check ? i'm not real familiar with argos so any guidence is appreciated ..thanks johnboy va
The hose may be no good. If it was empty there is a reason/ probably a leak somewhere. It's just a simple hydrolic system master cylinders at the sticks and dual piston calipers at the disks, with a hose in-between. After you fill it and bleed it, hold the stick down firm and wait a minute to see if it leaks anywhere. Big culprits night be the ball bearing under the bleeder screw, I have replaced a few due to corrosion that would not fully seal.
thanks face ....put the steering fluid in and got good pressure , no leaks after tightening connectors . then we noticed on the left side , someone had put one of the brake pads on backwards . metal side was facing the disc ! switched it around and working just fine now . johnboy va.
