Classified Section Rules

All ads must adhere to our general forum rules.

This means:
-Absolutely NO dealers can post in the classifieds whatsoever even if you are selling a personal ATV or parts unrelated to your business.
-If you have your own website or business selling ATVs or parts whether it is full time or not you can not post an ad here on the site even if you technically do not have a business license or tax ID number.
-If you are repeatedly selling multiple quantities of the same part(s) you can not post a for sale ad here on the site.
-If you are buying and selling used ATVs, you can not post a for sale thread on this site

I am very strict on these rules and if I believe that you have broken these rules in any way I will remove your posts and contact you to let you know why. Do not be surprised or become angry when I do so. If you continue to break the rules after your warning I will permanently ban you from this site. If you disagree with the rules then you should leave immediately and post elsewhere.

Again, I take these rules to an extreme to keep this site dedicated to the hobbyist. If you have any question as to whether you are allowed to post an ad in the classifieds PM me and ask first before you start a new thread and risk being banned.

Thanks,

Mike

  • Parting out Briggs Vanguard 23 HP engine (blown up camshaft)

I re-powered my Max II with a replacement Briggs 23 HP, and the old one is going to the metal recyclers once I'm done parting it out. It's a 386447-1138-G1, made in 2012. Just about everything unrelated to the actual combustion process for sale.

What's ruined: The block, side cover, camshaft, pistons, connecting rods, two tappets, one pushrod, and oil cooling radiator probably are things you don't want to buy due to damage or metal shavings.

If something is unavailable, I'll remove it from the list.

Easy sale candidates in last known working order include the starter, the Nikki carb (recently rebuilt), intake manifold, alternator, linkages, armatures with spark plug caps, wiring/electrical, air cleaner box, dipstick, dipstick tube, governor lever, drain plugs, oil fill plug, valve covers, all hoses, blower fan, pull start assembly, oil pump, brackets, and covers/shrouds. From the new engine, I also have the turnkey ignition harness with bezel and one key, and also the rabbit/tortoise style throttle control lever, since I don't need these.

Combustion parts that still look good: Rockers, one of the connecting rod half-circle brackets, cylinder heads (side 2-1 is good, side 1-1 had slight impact with the valves but they look okay (steel valve > aluminum piston)).

I have a spare engine side cover I bought from Ebay before seeing the internal carnage, it's in a heat-fatigued condition at the bottom area but the fine cracks don't go through and hold in alcohol just fine, so I could sell it if someone needs it.

Can't imagine anyone wanting to pay shipping for the crankshaft (2-29/32" PTO shaft and 3/8-24 internal tapped hole, 1/4" keyway but key not included) or flywheel, but I suppose those are available too.

I plan to keep just a few things like throttle linkage springs and the new pulse pump and air cleaner I bought.

I'm in the Seattle metro area. PM me if you need any of these items, and we can discuss prices and shipping.
