I have a 1991 max II and the transmission has never been touched other than fluid changes. I was wondering when it needed to be rebuilt. The right plunger for the band is almost sticking out past its cup and the left plunger is in a lot more. Any thoughts?
The plungers sticking out of the case aren’t uncommon even with new bands. They vary in length and some are quite a bit different when adjusted. As long as you haven’t bottomed out the adjustment bolts and it is working ok just keep the fluid on changed and run it. I’ve seen T20s over 30 years in service that we’re still running fine.
