did you make sure that you lined everything up with the woodruff key and i think you need to twist it also as you put it on so that the ramps are touching.
yep did all that just figured it out , it was the throttle and now ..... this thing is awesome !!!!!!
What is the Big Diff with a Red Spring.. I have a MAXII and hear about the "Red Spring" a lot..
Did it make that much Diff..?? Is it low end power..?? Does it engage at the same RPM..??
Any info would help me..
Cheers..

The red spring holds the clutch in its "closed" low range position longer, thus giving the user more low end torque before opening to its "open" higher range.
Kestian, it is amazing how much of an effect the correct throttle adjustment can make in this situation, isn't it? I was not all that impressed with the red until I got my throttle cable adjusted right, and then YIKES! GET OUT OF TOWN MAN!
Thanks..
This I will try it as well..
Cheers..

brushcutter, is that 40 tooth worth all the work?
Either of you guys care to tell the steps for installing the red spring? I have the spring but I'm not certain of how to go about switching it with old 2-stroke spring.
Thanks!
