Actually I was considering upgrading my 1998 Vanguard with a bigger engine but realized that steering and stopping might get a little dicey at higher speeds. The mechanical brakes work well but as they heat up turning the thing gets to be exhausting. The transmission has the mounting points for the calipers but the brakes (possibly for a vanguard II or Bigfoot) are probably out of production. I'm unsure as to what specific calipers and master cylinders could be used in an upgrade to hydraulic. There is a much older thread on this. But the link doesn't go to a specific part. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
