The two words that make a lot of off-roaders roll their eyes. It seems that the phrase "Tread Lightly" is the off-roader's Kryptonite. It evokes subconcious memories of tree-hugging hippies trying to prevent off-roaders from riding on public land. But that is far from the truth.
In reality, it is helping us to have a place to ride for many years to come. For us 6 wheelers we have double or even tripple the duty. Check it out:
Now I don't think we will have much of a problem with the last one (traveling slowly in shallow water) but it is recommended that you ride in water that is deeper than 2 feet when traveling in ponds and lakes.
Basically we just need to all do our part to simply leave the land the way that we found it so that it will be there for years to come. Stay on designated land/trails and don't leave trash. Just these two simple rules can make a huge impact!
