    Homemade Windshield Max II

I am looking to make a low budget lexan windshield for my max. Does anyone have suggestions on materials etc? I know I can figure it out on my own, but prior experience would help me out before I start putting the parts list together

Lexan is very sensitive for scretches when you go on a trail.

And why you dont take Car-Glass? I will tell you how to work. At first sorry for my english.
You go to an Junk Yard and look for a flat front window. This you take home and put it on a flat wooden panel. Now you make with a pencel the Outline for your window on this Glass. Now you take your disc grinder with a very thin cutting disc for metal. Put safety eye glasses and breathing protection to your head. Now you can cut the window. But you have to be very carefully. The Glass dont have to go hot. There is a thin folie in this Glass for security when he brokes. This Folie dont like it hot.
When you finish your cut, you have to put a sanding Disc on your disc grinder. With this you you make the edges a little round . without this the window cuts like a knife.
When i was younger, we build TopChop-Cars. Any window whe make so. The dust when you cut this glass is not good for your lung and your eyes. Very importent to cover you very good. Dont take normal glass. It is very dangerous when it brokes. Also you can go to a CarGlassShop. Here they can make a flat window . They cut it with waterjet. It is not very expensive.
    kind regards

Safety glass mentioned above would be ideal. Do take lung protection serious if you do.

I made a lexan windshied for my max. If I get a chance I will get a picture. I made side shields that are helpful, and allow the complete use of a 2ft x 4 ft lexan sheet.

The lexan is not so cheap, and I have to replace it yearly due to scratches.
