    RIM 6x6

    I have just purchased a RIM that needs an engine and It already has been modified to accept a briggs 18 horse but i want to know if i can use a 20HP v twin honda with a 1" shaft instead?

    That should work just fine. There are many, many engine options available because of all that space available in the RIM and Max IV.

    As long as the shaft is 1" can't i keep the same clutch?

    The clutch should work fine, but the bolt pattern to mount the engine is bound to be different.
    Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

    (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

    Hi Tatim; your honda will work ok ,some things to adapt ,one word of caution is that hondas dont seem to like cold starts and cold running due to all the plastic timing gears, ive removed the hondas from my units and went with briggs, even my grain augers and water pumps are now on briggs due to hard starts and busted cam gears that honda seems to have in the winter

    What Engine do i need for a RIM?

    I'm looking for an engine for my RIM that previously had an 18 horse briggs?

    What are the important shaft dimensions including overal length that i need?
