Need Help Picking Some Tires.

The original Runamucks for my 98' Argo Vanguard barely have any tread left on the middle part of the tire. So I've been looking for a cheaper replacement for some time. I've got it narrowed down to two: Carlisle Stryker 22X11-8 or Carlisle AT101 21X11-8.
Both are inexpensive and have pretty good reviews. I run plastic tracks but take them off if I think I'll be going into deeper water or over lots of rocks.

Anyone got any experience with Carlisle Stryker or Carlisle AT101 tires? Or is there a different tire I should look at?

I use duro mud and snows on my vanguard 2 reversed tread with the knobbies cut off in between the chevrons. They work well in the soft stuff and keep me moving forward in the water. I also have an old 8x8 with mud lights on it in alternating tread pattern starting with forward on the rear most tire. These are also a great budget choice

I'm going to be watching this for I am in the same situation with my tires, worn out and cracking. I do not take it swimming often so top water performance is not necessary but for the few times it happens I would like to have a tire that will push it along.

I have also looked at the AT101's but have found little info on how well they would work on the old Argo.

I've read about the Mud Lites in a Q&A about the AT101s. Said they worked really well for some guys up in Alaska. I'll have a look at those.

They are terrific in mud and swamp muskeg. They will move you in the water slowly if mounted the right way. I found that out the hard way with all mine in the reverse (argo tread) position and had to creep out of the water backwards cause my outboard motor would not start. That was a little painful. Alternating tread direction has been working great for me.
