Good day gents. I'm new to this forum. I have an older model HT6x6. I actually was recommended to join this site. I am looking for help in finding an input shaft for my transmission. Part #34 87. Hoping anyone can help me find a part that will fit in its place or even the exact part. Fingers crossed.
Just found your website and found it very interesting. My name is Lee and I live outside Fredericton N.B. I own a 2002 Argo Conquest 8x8. My daughter tried to start it on the weekend to go for a little trip. It started but she pushed the choke in too soon. When she tried to start it again nothing happened. When you turn on the key all that comes on is the fan. I checked the starter with a pair of boosters cables hooked to the positive on battery and then to the starter and nothing happened. Does that mean that the starter is shot or could it be something else? I would appreciate your input. Thanks!
Hello Everyone, just purchased a 1978 Argo 8x8 w plastic tracks and a 2014 Wild panther 8X8 w rubber tracks, electric jet drive with 20hrs on it.. Got both within 2 weeks of each other. My toys for the cottage. I live in Toronto Canada.
Always fascinated with machinery and Tools( my passion)
Love to learn more on the Argo, as I have a tough time steering with mechanical brakes for steering. May want to converted to Hydraulic. Anyone have experience with this?
Hey guys, new here. I just purchased a project Amphicat! It has everything but the engine so I am trying to figure out the best path for that? Do I pursue an original Sachs or convert to something else? Thanks for any help here.
New to the 6x6 group, live in Haslett Mi. Just had total knee replacement both knees, old ones worn out bone to bone. With that said I retired in January after working in the refrigeration, heating and air conditioning trade for forty years. Had the dirt bikes, quads, and snowmobiles. Slowing things down a little with a pontoon boat and 16 foot fishing boat. Got into antique tractors, and own three 45,47,48 allis chalmer tractors. We hit two or three shows a year, which we camp out at the shows for three or four days. Drove the tractors across the Mackinaw Bridge a couple years back, this year they are going to limit it to 1500 tractors. Last year we drove the jeeps across, just under 700 jeeps. Spent the next day out four wheeling on Drummond Island. Broke the record of 42 jeeps on the ferry. Just picked up a 1970's Jacobsen uv4, which is a 4x4 articulating rear steer assist utv. It will haul 1 ton in the bed, pull 10,000 lbs and weighs in at 1500 lbs. Any body have any manuals on these, as I'm finding out they are semi rare and not much info on the web. Gordy
Welcome benny, lee55, wayne5, 55fishes, and 82shortbox. For those of you looking for parts or advice, repost your request under the type specific section of the forum to get better responses.
Lee55, when you jumped the starter, did you connect the booster cable to the positive post on the starter side of the solenoid, or the battery side of the solenoid?
Hello everyone.
I live in the northern part of Utah, I have a 1970 Muscateer with the big black box. I’ve had this machine for 17 years and am just now trying to get it water and trail ready. Was wondering if anybody has a breakdown on the transmission, basically on the inners of this trans.
I also have a MX 1 Chaparral that we recovered out of a field. This machine has been hammered so haven’t decided on what I’m going to do with it. The main reason for getting this one was for the trans, and putting it in the Muscateer but I don’t want to lose the use of the prop.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hey guys. First post here. Been reading the forum since I decided to buy an argo.
I just picked it up the other day and I noticed after parking it today the tire is lopsided. I haven’t jacked it up yet to see if its a bent axle or something else. If it is a bent axle can I still use it like that? Or will it make things worse?
The argo is almost brand new. It was a demo. I had my kids with me so im pretty sure I didnt bend it. The dealer is almost 7 hours away so very inconvenient to bring it back.
