I just purchased this last weekend and need help identifying it, i believe it is a hustler?? it has electric start, i fired it up and it runs. I also tryed driving it yesterday. there was a lot of smoke!!!! so i stopped. it has been sitting for 6 years outside. i charged the battery and it started right up... if i were to restore it would would it be worth?
i need help loading the photos

Welcome Chris!....
If you haven't pointed yourself toward the "upload photos" section it's here. Just select the picture file from your camera or computer, and follow the steps on the following pages. You can even choose what sort of gallery you want to put it in. Unfortunately, there's no "smokey Hustler" category, but "Hustler" should suffice.

Once you get some pictures up, we can get a good idea of what we're lookin' at.

here is my hustler the guy i got it from said it was a 980 it has an 18hp briggs and 22x12.50 super swamper but i dont know how to tell if it is

That looks like a 950. The difference is the 980 tubs are taller and allow for 26" tires, while the 950 tubs are shorter and I think the biggest tires you can put on it are 25's.
