Has anyone tried to replace the green spring with thr red one without pulling the tranny or am I shooting for the moon and possably adding trouble bought red one but been gun shy about pulling trany on a 99 max 2
ed, i have pulled the t 20 out of my max 2 a few times and was'nt much trouble. unhook steering levers, springs etc. probably some site on here''removing t 20 trans max 2 ''. good luck. johnboy va.
I belive it doesent look to bad just gun shy about getting everything lined back up
The t20 will need to be removed to get the red spring installed and its really best to have someone assist you while installing the new spring.
The red spring is probably the best bang for the buck in terms of performance parts. You will lose a bit on the top end, but you add a lot to the low and mid power application.
On a 99 Max II you may be able to remove the clutch from the trans without removing the trans from the machine. Depends if they used antiseize at the factory the day yours was put together.Remove the belt, Take the clutch bolt out and try... Worst come to worst, both of those have to be removed even if you have to pull the trans to get the clutch off
