    hey Czech,

What's 1-5/8" diameter? Your sprocket tube? I've only worked on a 980, and I know my axle bolts are 3/8" diameter with a 2" long shoulder. The nut on the end is 5/16". I don't know if the 945s/950s used smaller diameter bolts or not. You have 1-3/16" diameter axles, right?

Yep, sorry about that hydro...sprocket tube is 1-5/8". Axle size is a tad larger than 1-3/16", necking down to 1" on the inner bearing side. I'd be curious to find out if this is standard, lighter duty than most, or for that matter heavier duty.

Ordered some tires from Summit too....decent price, but back ordered. sigh.

    Czech,

1-3/16" is standard on the Hustler. If yours is larger, it might be a result of crud buildup. I don't think any Hustler model ever jumped up to 1-1/4", which is the next standard size. I wonder if I have my shoulder lengths ALL goofed up, and I'm looking at one of the Swamp Fox shoulder bolts. Anyway, just get a shoulder bolt that has a shoulder as long as the outside diameter of the sprocket tube. Put a washer and a locknut on there and you're good to go.

    My head hurts.

I wouldn't be surprised if the OS is due to crap built up on the axle. IAC, I've got a McMaster order coming in today with the correct bolts...and some others. Also going to take some tires/wheels in today and get them tubed. I hate dealing with dry rotted stiff tires, for those particular things I'm willing to pay a few bucks to have someone else deal with them.
