R.I. is the best place to check, but that's why I was scratching my head about Mel's Max II year, because mine is around 30 higher than that number & it is a 2000. The guy we bought it from had the Certificate of Origin from R.I. Maybe mine had special needs.

My "new" Max IV is reportedly a 97 model, serial number 10410, has 16 Vanguard but is reportedly a replacement engine, and appears to have hollow axles, and is running 25x12x9 rawhide III's.

I'll holler at the mother company Monday and see what they say about it's original configuration.

I have a max IV with serial 8036 ? All I know she was a two stroke 250 just updated motor to 440 reed valve should be fun !

Hi new member here. I'm in Alaska and getting my max iv serial # 11582 april 1995 fixed up and repowered with a new briggs vanguard 23hp engine. I picked this max iv up last year in Wasilla, Alaska and have been working on it little by little. Almost done for now and I will post some pics soon.
