Can you pipe some hot air from the engine bay into the cab? A small fan would be needed. Or, does it have enough of a charging system to use a small electric heater?
If you have the canvas top (do that have this for the Aurora?) as I do on my Argo 800 the cabin gets warm just by engie heat. I was thinking of adding the heater (as I can on the 800) but the thinking is that by the time that it generates heat the cabin is already warm and might not be needed.
What are you doing where you would want to have heat in the Argo? That could help with what you need.
I also do water sports and in boats they have the same issue in the spring and all. Some guys look at electric heated coats/pants, etc as that is much easier to heat you than a lot of air around you. It also is something that you can use for multiple things. There are all kinds of them out now with the better battery tech.
I checked with a higher volume dealer here in Michigan, and was told that he is buying and selling 2019 L.C. machines as ARGO has no L.C. engines for 2020 models. I want to buy a new machine after 20 years with my Response. I can afford to buy what I want, but if I buy new 2020 I can't believe a Canadian company ARGO is selling machines for winter use with no means of heating the cab. Does anyone know if what I was told is accurate? Does ARGO have a new 2020 model with in cab heating?
From what I’ve been told the liquid cooled engines aren’t available anymore because of emissions. They will have to find available power plants and engineer all the external pieces to install. Not sure when or if that will happen.
I'm certainly no authority in this area but I've been seeing these threads for years so I'll throw my 2 cents in.
I have a Liquid cooled Conquest 6x6 with windshield and canvas enclosure. Driving in summer with just the windshield up makes it quite warm, almost uncomfortable, at the sticks.
With the top up in average N.E.Ohio winter temps no jacket and leave at least one side window unzipped or rolled up completely. It gets unbearably hot in there all closed up.
I, prior to personally witnessing this, was fully prepared to go through the effort (which wouldn't have been too difficult) to install the/a heater in the cooling loop. VERY glad I opted to hold off. Ya may just want to give it a try before jumping through hoops for possibly nothing.
I can speak to the same, I'm up in Ontario Canada where winter can get very cold. I do lots of plowing and the cab gets warms with the canvas top. The heater can also cause an issue in very cold weather not allowing the engine to heat up (which is kinda funny).
This is from the install instructions.
During extreme cold weather and low load operating conditions, (for example, excessive idling) the heater may be keeping the engine from reaching it’s operating temperature. Under such conditions, the heater should be used sparingly and a piece of cardboard used to cover the engine radiator.
For Extreme Cold Weather Conditions
The addition of a radiator baffle inserted between the intake air duct seal and rad screen is an extra option to consider when colder climate conditions exist. See the last page of this installation document for more details.
If you have pots of money there is a new hardtop for the Aurora that looks amazing. The cost is crazy thou.

I have a 2004 Conquest with the liquid cooled Kawi and I just bought a 2018 Frontier with the air cooled Kohler. My Conquest has a top on it and I have the heater/defroster kit in it. I use my Conquest solely as a snow cat here in the Rockies and it can get very cold. I can tell you that I hardly ever use my heater. After the machine is warmed up I almost always have may door/window on the top fully open because it gets very warm inside. I bought the air cooled machine knowing this, so I was not concerned about not having a heater in it. One thing that I will probably do is put a small 12 volt fan in the Frontier I can point at the windshield to help defrost it if the machine is full of wet people and dogs. The biggest downside I recently noticed on the 2020 Frontiers and Scouts is that Argo has made a big mistake of putting tiny quad/4-wheeler sized batteries in them and moved them into the engine bay. The big batteries that you can put in the per-2020 machines is a big plus when operating in the back country running a lot of accessories, especially when winching. Bad move ODG!!! If I was you I would shop around for a 2019 model with the liquid cooled Kohler in it if you really want the heater.
