I use a VIO- POV1 (as seen in helmetcameracentral). It does not have an external power input, but it does have mant great features. It is reviewed as the "Holy Grail" of headcams. I would highly recommend this unit.

I also have a couple Samsungs, a SCX-210L and a SCX-300L. Even more compact than the VIO, and easier to use. They do have external power inputs, and work awesome. However, they have been dis-continued. You can still find them, but you have to look. They are about half the price of a VIO-POV1.

All of the vids I have posted, have been shot with these headcams

    Rock Doctor ,

I recently watched a video of yours on Utube called " Snow day, Argo Conquest on Supertracks ". As I watched this video I noticed that it was quite a bit sharper visually than the past video,s that you,ve uloaded to Utube. Was this video shot with your VIO-POV1? If so , do you have the regular , or the new wide angle lens model?

Yes, that was with the VIO. At this point you can tell which vids are with the VIO by which side of my head the vid is shot from. The vids I shot with the Samsungs are from the right side of my head, the VIO from the left side.
The extra clairity is becouse I uploaded this vid in "High Quality" (720x480 @30fps), Regular Quality is 352x240 @ 30fps. The only other one loaded in HQ is the 08 Outdoors review. It takes a VERY long time to upload in HQ ( The 08 Review took about 8 hrs to upload) Right now I am uploading a Snowmobile vid in HD (1280x720 @ 30fps), it's only about 1 min 20 sec long, but it's taking for EVER. I will post it when it's finished, to see the difference.

As for the lens, I have the new "wide angle" I got mine just after they came out. I would like a Regular lens as well, but the wide angle is great for close up stuff, like riding in the Argo or fishing with the kids.

I see that VIO has 2 newer models out called the POV1.5 and POV1.5M.
Pretty much the same, but with more memory ability, hardwired camera, and a 12V power adapter.
