    Restoring an Hustler 6x6

    Advice needed for restring the Hustler.

    Welcome to the forums and congratulations on your Hustler purchase! If you get a chance go to the gallery and either look at REB181 or jpswift's gallery or you can do a search there for hustler and you will probably get plenty of pictures.

    Here's one from REB181's gallery as an example:


    As for your restoration, that is really up to you. If you just want to get it going then I would start with bearings, chains, and axles. Then move to engine/trans, tires, and body. If you are wanting to do a complete restoration (which you might as well while you are in there) then I would tear it down to the frame and start with a newly sandblasted and painted frame and then build up from there.

    Again, that part is personal preference and it also depends on how much time, work, etc. that you want to invest. If you just can't wait to get going then you might not want to do all of that.
