    Super Swamp Fox

Well finally after a ten plus year search I found a Super Swamp Fox 3 1/2 hours away. I’ve always wanted one for a project machine but never in my wildest dreams did I expect to find one that needed nothing. There’s no wear on the clutch slider buttons or even the chain sliders. Everything on it is original even the belt and air cleaner lol. It’s got an opposed kohler 17 HP. engine. Based on the serial number it’s a 1984. What a fun machine to drive and it swims like a fish. Very stable in the water which is why I’ve always wanted one. I know a lot of folks hate the looks of these, but I always thought they were cool. I love the mid engine design and how easy it is to access everything. Even the bearings are tight on this machine. Originally I had big plans to modify everything, bigger engine and other mods. But this one is so nice she will be kept all original. Maybe just a good cleaning and repaint the original pale green color ( which I’ve never seen before ). Tried posting a picture on here but it wouldn’t let me. I’m beyond thrilled with this rare find and hope to hear from some other Fox owners.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

I found it on Facebook marketplace. I used to be able to post pics on here. Used to be able to send private messages too. Not sure what’s going on. But now we can find strange women of the night. Never used to be able to find that in here lol.

Nice find. I think my Super Swamp Fox is the fastest swimming machine I've encountered so know what you mean. The old 17hp motors are plenty strong. If it ever goes out a Harbor Freight motor is cheap and easy to install. I've seen a few of these come up for sale over the years.

As far as this site is concerned, its an annoyance to see all the hooker info being advertised. The site needs to be actually policed.

As time permits I’m going to race the Fox against the IV in the lake. I know it’s more stable for sure. It’s odd they have the metal discs blocking off the inside of the rims. Water enters and drains through the four holes in the rims. I guess it keeps the mud out? My other set of wheels do not have the drain holes in the rims so I’m thinking about drilling holes in the metal discs for water to get out. I know after some time in the lake it will find its way in there. I’ve got pictures posted on the 6x6 and 8x8 amphibious Facebook site. For some reason I can’t post pics on here anymore.

Know what you are talking about. I used a plasma cutter to remove the disc blockers since they are worthless anyway on a machine that doesn't have outboard disc brakes. I guess whatever company they sourced the hub assemblies from included those in the package.

I am 6'3" 205 pounds and can stand on the side of the machine and rock back and forth and sideways on a Swamp Fox without fear of swamping the machine.
My only criticism of the width is that its a two edged sword, meaning its a harder machine to maneuver around tight spaces.
