Comments on my new Argo 6x6 700 Frontier Scout

Very nice machine. How was the heat coming from the firewall ? I spent a weekend driving a new Argo 6 without a hood fan and my lower legs got pretty hot. I’m surprised they don’t come standard with a fan and an insulated firewall. I liked everything else about it though.

Since I put the hood fan on I don't feel any heat at the fire wall or coming into the cab, when I run the machine wide open (23 mph) I don't feel heat coming back at me. Before the hood fan the heat was almost unbearable. I am really surprised that the hood fan is not standard equipment on all Argos. The best part is those tracks ride on those 24 inch tires and I can haul ass without worrying about the tracks eating my tub or skid plate.

By the way, I just measures the tracks, they are 22 inches wide and if you include the paddles in that measurement they are a full 23 inches wide, by the way those paddles are tough!

Whoa boy! That half track system looks awesome. It came out better than I expected and can imagine the traction that thing generates. Can't wait to see it in person.

I think if I had one I’d replace the factory screens with a more open expanded metal screen to allow more air to pass through. It really helped on my Max engine shroud.
