What gear should I run with tracks, high or low

I have a 2008 Avenger and I use both gears as appropriate. Low for steep hills, heavy loads and deep snow on trails. High on flat straightaways like frozen lakes, especially if they are slushy. -
I'm with Bob on the gears. I run an 07 Avenger and am usually in high gear, unless I'm on a steep hill, heavy loads, deep snow, or thick mud. Lately I've found that I don't need the tracks as much as I had in the past. It's a bit easier on the machine, but I still have them in camp, in case I need em.Comment

Like these guys wrote, will depend on load and terrain, rubber tracks may require low more than super tracks.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.

I have the low geared Trans in my machines, so rarely use low gear.
I would suggest running in High until you cant, then shift it down when needed.
