    Making chain adjusters?

In case you missed the photo updates of my rebuild in the Hustler motor thread...here they are

Ok..I admit I am pretty excited. I was looking through my old parts bin and I have 2 of 6 chain adjusters. I bought all new nylon rollers from Route 6x6, but the adjusters themselves are not available. I was thinking of taking heavy strap stock and drilling and tapping it, to make the square nuts, and just use an appropriate size bolt. Any thoughts or experience would be greatly appreciated.

My Hustler uses Uni-strut rail nuts which are availible from McMaster Carr.
