Finally got my Max back from my now ex-FIL. He had it at our church for several years. Anyway, a couple of issues but the main one is a broken throttle cable. It has the stranded control cable. I have access to 1/16” aircraft control cable but I’m wondering why that and not a solid wire (i.e. choke cable) cable. Is there anything wrong with running a solid wire thru the housing instead of stranded control cable? Thanks!
I saw that last night, thanks. Looks like I have to replace the whole thing anyway. The cable came out from about a foot in from the handle but back at the engine it ain’t budging. Probably corroded inside where it broke and stuck.
