Wow Keith, your machine tires and track system look absolutely awesome!!!!! I am assuming that the red part of your track system is some type of soft rubber or vinyl that will allow you to use that track system in rocky mountainous terrain. Great innovation, let us know how it works for you.. It looks as if that machine has 12 plus inches of ground clearance! I always thought a Hustler with big tires, low gearing and Adair tracks would be the ultimate mud machine.

Thanks Dan. The inserts are red urethane. There is an easy 11 inches of clearence under the chain rails so probably 10" under the so called Hustler hump. I had Tim make an extra tall grouser and then I modified them in a couple ways to increase their performance. The top of the grouser is pocketed to accept various inserts like urethane, steel channel or spikes. the front and rear faces are cupped to catch water and there are holes that allow the water to pass through the grouser without cavitating when swimming. The tracks fit with 2 1/2 inch spacers. The tracks are mounted a little loose for I fear the axles, frame are not really up to match what they are now supporting. The low gearing seems to work awesome and it is really stable in the water. This is the picture thread so I will try to stay sort of on topic with a swimming video.

Doesn't seem to swim too bad for a machine with tracks and stays well out of the water. I am pretty happy with the old machine and wonder what the Hustler engineers would think if they could see this combination 30 years ago, or maybe they did?

It looks great Keith. I can tell you from the video that it swims much better with New style Adair tracks than it did with the original 1st gen style Adair track I had on my machine. I know your loving it. That roll cage turned out nice for you also.

Don't hold me to it, but I think I bought about 33 feet to do a model 950.
