well argo jim suggested that I post a new thread here .I recently acquired a max11 that is in excellent cosmetic shape it even came with the tracks. I decided to do change out he chain tensioners out to the new style roller type .that's when I found that the bottom of the frame was rusted pretty badly .I was soo mad the previous owner new that and didn't tell me wtf.i paid a good dollar for it also. soo now im at a crossroads .part it out or totallt tear it down and fix.i have a welder and are quite handy at faberciation but just don't know if I wanna take on the project . but I do have a few questions its a 1984 serial number 7290.what axel bearings would I be needing?thank all for your input

    Bearings are hc206-20

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

If you're already handy with a welder/fabrication then it might make a fun project if you're willing to take the extra time.

Mine needed both outside frame rails when I got it. The holes are spaced 25 inch on centers if I remember right. It was pretty easy and straight forward. Just take your time and keep it square youl be fine. I had a local welding shop bend me my frame rails and cut out the holes per measurements I gave them. He said he was going to save my order in case others need max ii outside frame pieces. It's CV welding in Newville PA
Edit*** when I had mine made it was 72 bucks for both
