6X6 World semi-annual Fall trail ride at Busco Beach Off Road Park in Goldsboro, NC! Come ride with your fellow members and get to know the face (and six wheeler) behind the username. This is a great offroad park for AATVs.
Most people will arrive on Thursday night late or Friday morning early and stay through Sunday or Monday. If you haven't been on a ride and there is any way you can make it, I encourage you to come out and ride with some other AATVs even if just for a day. We always have fun and love meeting others from the site. Here's the info:
- A mud pit
- Several ponds
- A drag strip
- MX Tracks
- 1800 acres of trails
- Bath houses with bathrooms and showers
- A concession stand during the day
Cost:
$5 entrance fee per person
$10 per ATV that you bring
Primitive Camping - $5 a night
RV camping w/ hookup (30A) - $25 a night
What's Required:
The park requires riders to wear helmets unless you have three-point or greater roll-over protection. This requirement applies whenever you are in your ATV and it is moving. This means as long as you have a roll cage, you do not have to wear helmets. On any ATV without a roll cage or on any ATV with just a roll bar, the riders must wear helmets.
What's happening everyone. Looks a bit light on attendance so far.
I'm working on rebuilding the right side of my Transmission (Shifter isn't working so great - gonna replace the right case).
I'm also looking in to moving the Motor Mount to the middle (sort of like Mike's). Still doing the design work on placement of the mount and engine on the mount (as well as putting the battery on the mount (right side). Mostly I'm working about the stress of the motor's angle to the transmission. Right now the stress for the transmission takes into account the mounting brackets on the transmission. I'm wondering if I need to add an additional transmission mount on the left side to account for the stress pushing forward instead of upwards (like it does now).
Anyone doing anything special to their units? Maybe adding some more lights?
just trying to make sure everything is in order on the max. i did that last april and still had a noise i never could get rid of. rode anyway and had a great time ! john, i think anything you can do to beef up the machine ( tranny mount, etc. ) is good. easier at home than at busco. how ever many show up it will still be a wonderfull time as long as there are no hurricanes !!!! johnboy va.
John, i agree with Johnboy, any way you can strengthen something in that area is always a good thing. As far as october busco, the Cheney's(Gil,Jim and Lindsay,Rick, Kevin and Jon) will be there from weds/thurs-mon. Just made reservations for sites E24,26,27. Same area we stayed in the spring, only area big enough to get all three of us together with power/water. Also, talked to Sam and he sold his argo to his boss but said he would like to come and hang out with everybody for a couple of days.
