    the sparks are right down by the atarter now and big sparks? i orderd a new starter will al tis go away when i get a new one?
    also the screen is showing 2 horizontal lines where the N,R,D should be what is the problem here?

    well if the starter is dead shorting your shocking/freaking out the control board, unhook the battery and stop ....ing with it. it should reset its self after you get the new starter installed.

    "The starter is not seized. Before I had the new brushes in it would just turn but not on the motor, but with new brushes it just sparks, even grounding the solenoid sparks a lot and won't work." (this is my uneducated way of quoting a previous post, by the way)

    I wonder if something went wrong installing the new brushes and internally, the wiring or brush is making contact with the starter housing......thus a dead short.

    the brushes are supposed to make contact with those magnest right? they have a snug hold on the magnets

    can someone explain to me how a starter is supposed to be? even get some pictures i would really appreciate it
