    What engines will fit?

    I just got a late 70's early 80's argo 6x6 with no motor and was wondering if anyone could help me with what will fit in there and where i can find a motor.

    i had one with a 538 hirth in, does that give you a hint?

    You can make just about anything fit if you are mechanically inclined. I am seriously looking at the 3 cyl. sprint motor. 138 lbs. 50 hp. water cooled! full size alt. and cheaper than a regular small motor and parts can be got anywhere.

    yea i was thinking of doing somthing big like that too. I just graduated from automotive school today so hopefully I'll have more money to put into this thing it looks like a blast to drive.

    What engine

    start with figuring out what it had.does it have serial #plate on firewall,if so it a 77 up.if the #starts with a T####,it had a tecumse 16HP single.plate( 1st pic.my78)i just picked up a 75-76 2 stroke 440 koler(other pics,note the large air filter mounted to inside body)75 was first year of HDPE body.71-74 were ABS body

    PS im thinking about a 377cc rotax F/C(ski-doo engine).very durable motors,air intake on proper side.a buddy has an old 8 wheel with a chapperal 400cc,but air intake on wrong side,runs hot
