    More floatation max 4

I would like to make my max 4 a little more stable in the water. I have the 14" vendetta tires on it now. Any pics of side pods? Or j-wheelz I like to bow fish and duck hunt out of my max. Bow fishing is where I need it the most. Thanks chad

Here's a video of some J-Wheelz on a Max IV and a pic of them installed on an Argo 8x8.

The Max4 does feel a little awkward when swimming, especially if you aren't used to it. I think its the high mounted rear engine that throws the weight balance off. Once you get acclimated to the water behavior you get used to it. I found that moving the front seat back helps. I actually moved the seat due to my long legs, but it helped the balance issue too.

You can also play around with the air pressure in the tires.

Nothing wrong with trying to get more flotation but I would take the Max IV out in the water and really try to rock it back and forth. Start slowly and only lean it a little at first and then increase how far you lean it over each time. You will be surprised at just how far it can lean over. That helped me to get better acclimated to the uneasy feeling at first.

Sounds like the problem is stability for a steady Bow Fishing shot, drawing the bow in the machine is causing the rock.

Chadh there is a picture in the galley of a IV with pontoons made of pvc and an Argo with out riggers on it.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

You are correct on drawing the bow and fighting a fish over the left side can be trickie. Try to always shot out the front or right side but you never know where they are going to go.
