I'm trying to replace the bearing on the front left of my Max II. Is the brake disc held on with a set screw or is it just pressed on? The axles are splined and I don't see a hole for a set screw. It looks like something was rubbing in the area a screw may be and has kind of "ground" material over it if it is there. Any suggestions? I have searched and read the write up on bearing replacement..Thanks for the help.
cwm108 hay i just did my 01 tonight an yes it has a set screw mine had some kind of puddy in the hole i used a small pick ti get iit outan had to use a dead blow hammer to get it off the shaft ,did you find any place to get bearing from for less than 40 bucks
Buffalo Bearing will be cheaper than that.......but next time I need bearings I will get them from mudd-ox. Matt says his bearings are true triple seals, not the labrynth seals of alot of that type ag bearing. The mudd-ox is MUCH larger and heavier than a tiny little maxII, and if his bearings hold up on that machine......
