    maiden voyage

I took the hustler out today. It floats and that anti-seize I put on the axles when I put them through the outer bearings. Worked fine. Not a drop of water came in. Ill be adding the spacers and then my tracks next week. The stability in the water without the wheels extended out is a bit scarey. Especially when you find a tree or stump under the water.

Glad to hear everything went well! It must have been quite a thrill to take the Hustler out for the first time.

Took "The Phat Grumpy" (the name I gave my brown hustler), for another run over and through the small beaver dams here. Note to self. dont go slow! You will get stuck and I did. A small tree was close enough to put the winch cable on. That worked fine and got me out of a deep hole the tires made. But then the ass end sunk in another hole and with the atv at such an incline the weld gave way and the winch stayed with the tree and me out in the mud and water. Working with the atv in gear, while standing in the water. I managed to get it out of the mud and drove back through the woods.
I seem to be learning the hard way as to just how to venture on or in different terrains. AATV Amphibious All Terrain Vehicle, my ass! Well back to the redesigning. Ill get it right yet.
