Adair tracks also weigh less than either the Argo rubber tracks or Escargo tracks , and this also helps their water performance too. In contrast though, the Tru Trax that you're interested in don't swim at all! One of the main reasons for buying an amphib is because they float and swim through the water , and buying the Tru Trax defeats the whole purpose of owning an amphib . I can run my Adair tracks year round because they slide side ways even easier than the factory Carlisle tires that came on my Frontier. This gives me more bang for the buck! Another problem with other track designs is the added wear and tear that they put on the bearings , axles, and chains. You also don,t have chain wind up with the Adair tracks, and this is a comom problem with the Argo rubber tracks and Escargo tracks. This is another reason why the people that sell the Argo and Escargo tracks don't recommend running their tracks year round. When sliding side ways the Escargo, and Argo rubber tracks create way too much surface friction and can't compare with the sliding surface of the UHMW material that the Adair tracks are made of. The straight grouser design on the Adair track really helps sliding side to sides too.
