    conquest super track question

    so this morning i pulled my 24" tires off the conquest and put the old 22's back on.installed the hub extenders then the 18" super tracks.aired the old 22's up to 5psi and went for a spin.tracks work extremely well,turn and go effortlessly.only issue is that the tracks are really loose,loose enough to slap the tub at low speeds.how much air can i put in those old 22" runamucks?

    My set that I just looked at say 5 PSI Max Operating Pressure, Not to exceed 22 PSI to seat beads.

    I have run up to 10 psi in my old amucks in the winter since your not on rough ground.Cheers

    Don't go by how much the track slaps under the machine fenders, make sure you jack it up and check the track sag under the tires. 2"-3" is what you want for sag.
    The tracks will slap under the fenders sometimes, it depends more on the terrain you are on than tire pressure.

    My dealer in Colorado that has a lot of knowledge with these machines and tracks says front 7psi, middle two sets 6psi, and rears at 5 psi. I hope I did get the rea and front pressure backward and I can't remember off the cuff the reasoning, but I have ran my Avenger and Coquest this way with supertracks fro several years and the track tension seems perfect.

    thanks guys,my tracks were slapping on flat ground at low speed.they even try to bunch up when reversing.will pump them up and see how much they sag when jacked up then.

    SO i aired all the tires up to 9psi,that solved the problem.gonna try them all at 8 psi and see how that works.

    There can really be no "set" pressure to run Supertracks at. As the pins and the pin holes wear, the tracks get longer. I replaced a whole set of pins on one set of tracks and ended up with tracks about 5" shorter than they were with worn pins.
    1/16" wear on pins will lengthen your tracks by about 4.5" overall.
    Find the pressure that works for you, and expect that to increase over time.

    i can see that RD.gonna run them for the rest of the winter then maybe replace pins in the summer.i imagine that a new set of tires would tighten things up a bit as well.
