    New Max II Axle

Hi, I got my new front axle , the snap ring type that takes a bolt in the inner end with a washer for extra retention. I failed to order the bolt and am afraid of ruining the threads unless I get it right (axle is installed). What is the bolt size and thread type. It appears to be 3/8" but a 3/8 National coarse only turns by hand a turn or turn and a half before fetching up, it looks like national coarse maybe just needs the hole chased with a tap. If SAE which I would think it is it will be either NC or NF unless by some weird turn of events it is metric. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Eldon

Every one I’ve had was 3/8” NC. I would try a different bolt if that doesn’t work try the a tap, just go easy with it. Also use blue locktite on the bolt. I’ve had them come loose.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

Thanks Tbone9. I did run a 3/8" NC tap in first worked great and yes blue locktite, I am well done with red.
